Tridef 3d frame sequential driver#
I contacted Sony support several times now, so far the only thing they asked me (two weeks ago) is to reinstall my video driver from the support website. but perhaps that's because it needs a particular registry setting? Perhaps you can see a possible solution here?

I cannot imagine that it's not possible for a professional tool like PowerDVD to enable this logging so if you can at least help me with this?Īlso, I'm perfectly willing to buy the latest PowerDVD if that solves my problem - but so far this 3D screen doesn't seem to be supported. Which means that ultimately Cyberlink is the only party that can help me with this.Īs for the basic support, it would be very helpful if I would just get some decent log messages so that I can figure out what goes wrong - and if the issue is with PowerDVD or with the Seefront drivers.

Since I work in a software company myself, I do understand what you mean with OEM procedure - but to be honest I cannot imagine that Sony is messing around in your source code for various reasons. As for your suggestion, the Sony installation tool (Vaio care) doesn't support the (re)installation and the CD apparently doesn't work.īasically that means that I can either program a media player for myself (which feels pretty stupid to me) or figure it out myself with some basic support like you. I was afraid of this: Sony (and Seefront for that matter) aren't helping so far (yes, I've contacted them as well). Well, basically a Vaio SE, the thing the screen was designed for in the first place.Īny help or ideas are welcome, I really would like my toy to work. while I might be able to hack it if I spend enough time, I feel that buying something implies it should simply be working without this much hassle.

However, I must admit I didn't spend too much time with this. I noticed that DxRender3DV / X is loaded and some thread is running it. apparently I'm wrong in this assumption.Įventually I even tried solving it through the visual studio assembler debugger. This is also where I don't get it: the important DLL's seem to load okay, so I would expect the stuff to work. PowerDVD first checks the mentioned registry setting (attachment, line ) loads seefront_ilace_dx.dll.

I'm not sure if this is correct or not perhaps PowerDVD works differently? 3DUtility is used by Tridef 3D to do the face tracking. Using process monitor I found the following: I'm not sure about the purpose of "SunsetChecker.dll" since it's not installed, but you probably have your reasons for that. Using Orca: All the files in the CAB and MSI are also present in the Cyberlink folder. Like the other settings in that file, all the registry settings seem to be installed correctly. Noteworthy is the registry setting 'UI_Enable3DDisplaySeeFront' that's set to '1', which basically seems to enable the Vaio 3D Panel option in the 3D settings. From the PDVD.reg I found some settings.

Tridef 3D ignition seems to work in other words, unless different drivers are used, they should be working. A brief summary of all the things I've found so far by using a combination of tools such as Orca, Process monitor, 7zip (to extract the MSI's) and Visual studio. Since I've done my share of software development, I've been trying to solve the problem for myself. PowerDVD9 is shipped along with the VGP-F元D15A screen. Of course I tried installation, reinstallation, pdvd9 cleaner before installation, etc, etc. This happens when I select the 'Vaio 3D Panel' in the settings and 'Enable 3D for video files and DVDs' while a video is playing, or when I enabled these settings and then drag & drop a video on PowerDVD9. Try choosing a different 3D display device.". For reasons I don't understand it's not working with 3D vision, error message: "Cyberlink PowerDVD could not enable 3D playback. I've bought a VGP-F元D15A with my Vaio SE.
